Rickenbacker's Growth Is Unlimited!
It is almost overwhelming to see all that is happening at the Rickenbacker Inland Port and the Rickenbacker Intermodal Global Logistics Park! According to the 'Logistically Speaking'
2015 third quarter publication, Rickenbacker is excited to report the new state-of-the-art air traffic control tower completion date of early 2016.
Also reported is another 2.2 million square feet of warehouse and distribution space is currently under construction, in addition to the 1.8 million square feet of space that's already been completed this year.
A new 100,000 square feet air cargo terminal is scheduled to open in mid-2016. 'Logistically Speaking'
reports "Tenants will enjoy an unparalleled ability to expedite the transfer of cargo between airplanes and trucks, saving time and money in their supply chains."
BASF Corp., the world's largest producer of chemicals and related products, is working with the airport authority and a real estate developer for a 421,200 square foot facilty in the Rickenbacker Global Logistics Park that will serve as it's new regional distribution center.
The Norfolk Southern Intermodal Terminal at the Rickenbacker Global Logistics Park plans to expand it's transporation hub capacity by 40 percent. The terminal connects Rickenbacker to deep-water ports on both coasts, and has experienced tremendous growth in just it's seven years of operation!
